Ingredients
Oil - 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
Pepper powder - 2 tsp
Tomato -1
salt
Chilli powder -1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/4 tbsp
Cumin Powder -1/2 tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - lemon sized
Hing / Asafoetida -1/2 tsp
Water - 3 cups

METHOD
- Heat oil in a pan . Once the oil is hot , add mustard seeds and wait for it to splutter
- Now add the curry leaves , ginger garlic paste and pepper powder . Saute till the raw smell goes off.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute it . Then add the cumin powder , chilli powder , coriander powder and turmeric powder . Saute till the raw smell goes off
- Add required amount of salt and add sufficient quantity of water .Allow it to boil
- Once it boils add the tamarind paste and simmer it . Switch off the flame and add hing/ asafoetida. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice
