Papaya wine

Kara Sev


Ingredients
Besan flour - 2 cup
Rice flour - 1 cup
Water-1/2 cup
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Ajwain  - 1/4 tsp
Hing / Asafoetida- a pinch
Salt -
Oil - 2 tbsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Oil for frying

Method;

  1. In a large mixing bowl take besan flour / kadala maavu . Add turmeric , red chilli powder , ajwain , hing, baking soda and salt.Mix it well
  2. Now add 2 tbsp of medium heated oil . Mix it well
  3. Now add water little by little and knead it to become a dough
  4. Now take the sev press. Use the mould with bigger holes. Apply oil in the press. Now take a portion of dough and stuff it to the sev press
  5. Now press it directly to the hot oil . Make sure that the dough doesnot overlap
  6. After a minute just flip over and fry the other side.Once its cooked take it out from the oil and drain the excess oil . Store it in an airtight container 
Note:
Dont keep the dough for a long time as it dries off.
Adjust the amount of water
