Papaya wine

Mutton Chukka



Ingredients
Mutton(boneless) - 300 g
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Shallots - 15
Black Pepper powder- 2 tsp
Green chilli paste - 1/2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Mutton curry powder - 1 tsp
Red chili powder -1/4 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Salt
Oil

Method
  1. In a pan add 1/2 tbsp of oil. Saute ginger garlic paste and green chilli paste 
  2. Add the chopped shallots. Saute it a little. 
  3. Take a pressure cooker .Add about 1/4 cup water. Add the mutton and required salt. Pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistle or till the mutton is done 90 percent
  4. Add the turmeric powder,  red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder,  pepper powder , Kashmiri chilli powder ,mutton curry powder.Saute till the raw smell goes off a bit. . 
  5. Once the pressure releases,  put all the mutton along with gravy in the pan. 
  6. Add some curry leaves. Allow the mutton to dry up . Serve hot. 
Note
  • Clean the mutton pieces and wash it 4 or 5 times. Use turmeric for the last wash
  • While drying up if you want add oil. If the mutton has fat it would require less oil or no oil
  • Use shallots for best taste.
  • I  have used boneless but mutton bone  chukka would be tastier
