Nellika Uppilitathu /Brine gooseberries


Ingredients
Gooseberry - 20
Green chilli - 6
Vinegar - 1 cup
water - 3 cup
Salt

How to make

  1. Clean the gooseberries and wipe all the water .With a fork pierce the gooseberry (This will hep the goose
  2. In a clean vessel , boil the water .
  3. Once it starts boiling , add the vinegar and salt. Allow it to boil
  4. Allow it to cool for 30 min
  5. In a clean airtight glass jar add the gooseberries , salt vinegar water and green chillies.close it tightly
  6. You can start to use after a week
Note:
  • You can use bird eye chilli / Kanthari. It taste better 
  • The amount of water used varies . The water level should be above the gooseberries
  • Use rock salt /kal Uppu instead of salt
