Papaya wine

Onion samosa



Ingredients
Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Maida - 1/2 cup
Salt
Sugar - 1 tsp
Hot Oil - 2 tbsp
Water
Onion - 1
Poha/ aval - 1/2 cup
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Dry mango powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped - 2 tbsp
Oil to fry

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl take the sliced onion . Add poha , chilli powder , garam masala , dry mango powder and salt
  2. Add the ginger and finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix it well. Dont add water
  3. Take a mixing bowl. Now add the maida and wheat flour to it. Dry mix it . Add required salt and mix it again. Add a pinch of sugar as it enhances the taste of the samosa
  4. Now to it add hot oil. Mix it well with the help of a spoon.
  5. The mixture should be crumbling in nature . Now add required amount of water little by little and start to knead it to a dough.Cover it and allow it to rest for 30 min
  6. Start to roll with the help of a rolling pin as thin as possible. Cut the sides to get a rectangular shape 7 cm x 21 cm approx
  7. Now place the sheet on a hot tawa and roast for 7 to 10 sec.Prepare maida paste by mixing 2 tbsp of maida with 4 tbsp of water.
  8. Start to roll to a triangular shape and place stuffing inside .
  9.  Apply maida paste at the end for sealing the samosa
  10. Now deep fry in medium hot oil.Flip and cook on both sides till it is golden brown
  11. When it is done , take out and drain it in a kitchen towel to remove the excess oil

Note:
You can add maida instead of wheat flour
You can also prepare the sheets in advance and freeze it in a freezer
