Kinathappam/ How to make kinathappam with egg

Ingredients
Raw rice- 1/2 cup
Egg -1
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Thick Coconut milk - 1 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp (optional)
Cardamon - 1
Ghee

Method

  1. Clean and Soak the  raw rice for 3 hours
  2. In a mixie jar , add the raw rice , 1 cup of  coconut milk and grind it to a smooth paste
  3. Now strain the mixture. Again add the strained mixture to the mixie  jar . Add egg .grind it and sieve the mixture
  4. In a dry mixie jar add the sugar and cardamon . Grind it to a powder and add it to the raw rice egg mixture. Again grind it and sieve it . Now add the coconut milk and mix well
  5. Take a pan , brush some ghee, sprinkle cumin seeds and pour the batter over .Place the pan in a steamer and cover it with a foil paper
  6. Let it steam for 25 min . After 25 min , remove from the steamer and allow it to cool .Cut and serve
