Ingredients
Maida- 3 cup
Onion - 1 (medium size finely chopped)
Green chilli - 5
Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 2 tsp (unpowdered)
Butter - 2 tsp
Vegetable oil -1/4 cup
Curry leaves - 2 sprig
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
Water
How to make
- Dry mix maida ,baking powder, onion, pepper powder , salt and sugar . Set aside
- In a mixie jar , add the green chilli and curry leaves ,grind it to a coarse paste without adding water
- Beat the butter till fluffy with a whisk and add it to the dry mix
- Add the coarse paste and mix it gently with hand
- Add the vegetable oil ,water and combine it well to form a dough (similar to a chapathi dough)
- Cover and keep it for about 30 min
- Preheat the oven at 200 c for 10 min.Grease a baking tray and place a parchment paper
- Divide the dough into two portions . Take one portion and roll it to a thin sheet .Using a cookie cutter , cut into desired shape .Prick it with a fork and keep it in the baking tray
- Bake for 20 to 22 min , till the edges turn brown
- Remove and allow it to cool.Continue the same with the remaining dough
- Store in an airtight container
