Ingredients
Maida -1 1/2 cup or 15 tbsp
Yeast - 1 1/2 tsp
Milk -11 tbsp
Milk powder - 2 tbsp
Water
Butter - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 3 tbsp
Extra flour for dusting
How to make
- In a bowl, add slightly warm milk (approx 40 c), 1tbsp sugar and yeast.Mix well
- Keep aside for 10min for the yeast to get activated
- Add 2 tbsp of milk powder, 1/2 tsp salt ,2 tbsp of sugar and maida in a bowl.Mix it well .
- Add to the yeast mixture .Knead well for 10 min.Now add butter and knead again for 15 min.
- Spread some oil in a bowl and allow the dough to rest for 1 1/2 hr to 2 hours
- Prepare the loaf pan by brushing with butter
- Spread the rested dough and roll it to a rectangular shape to fit the loaf pan
- Brush some butter over the dough and allow it to rest for 1 hour
- After 1 hour the dough will rise to the top of the loaf pan
- Now preheat the oven to 180 c for 10 min
- Bake the dough for 25 to 35 min
- Once done remove from the oven , allow it to cool before cutting into pieces
- Using counter top to knead well . Stretch the dough and knead by sprinkling maida
- Initially the dough will be sticky
- Use a good quality yeast .proof the yeast before using it in the dough
- Milk shouldnot be cold .Temperature of milk should be such that it's bearable to touch with our fingers
