Preparation
Last year i prepared a simple sadya . I bought chips from shop but prepared upperi at home since its not easy to get it in chennai.You can buy both online here
A week or 3 days before prepare the pickles ( lemon , gooseberry, )
Day 1 ( a day before sadya)
- Prepare mango pickle,inji puli
- Grate coconut ( approx 5 ) and keep it in fridge
- Buy all necessary vegetables and banana leaf
- Prepare jaggery syrup
- Soaking brown chana for kootu curry
- Crush red chilli for mezhupuratti
- Kaalan can be prepared at night and kept outside / in fridge
Day 2
- Prepare the curry and Kootu for 4.Six plus people can have
- Soak lentils as soon as you get up ( paruppu for payasam,sambar ,paruppu curry )
- 'Keep water boiling as it can save lot of time
- Soak tamarind in water for rasam and sambar
