Ingredients
Yam- 2 cups
Crushed red chilli -2 tsp
Shallots- 7
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
Dry red chilli -1
Garlic -3 (optional)
How to make
- In a cooker add the chopped yam,turmeric powder and salt.Add required water and cook till it is done
- Heat a pan.Add about 1 tbsp of coconut oil .Once heated add the mustard seeds
- Once the mustard seeds start to splutter add the curryleaves,dried red chilli,finely sliced shallots.
- Now add the cooked yam ( drain the excess water ).Stir well at high flame.
- Add the crushed chilli and garlic.Stir for 5 min .Switch off the flame . Serve hot with rice
Notes
- Apply coconut oil in the hand before chopping the yam
