Papaya wine

Yam Mezhukkupuratti /Yam stir fry/Chena stir fry/ Chena Mezhukkupuratti



Ingredients
Yam- 2 cups
Crushed red chilli -2 tsp
Shallots- 7
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt
Curry leaves- 1 spring
Coconut oil- 1  tbsp
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
Dry red chilli -1
Garlic -3 (optional)

How to make

  1. In a cooker add the chopped yam,turmeric powder and salt.Add required water and cook till it is done
  2. Heat a pan.Add about 1 tbsp of coconut oil .Once heated add the mustard seeds 
  3. Once the mustard seeds start to splutter add the curryleaves,dried red chilli,finely sliced shallots.
  4. Now add the cooked yam ( drain the excess water ).Stir well at high flame.
  5. Add the crushed chilli and garlic.Stir for 5 min .Switch off the flame . Serve  hot with rice

 Notes

  • Apply coconut oil in the hand before chopping the yam
